HWRE – HAZWOPER (Refresher)

Objective: Cursory re-acquaint a person  with detailed basic knowledge and hands on regarding regulations associated with hazardous substances in the work place and work place safety.

Course Target:  Persons responsible for their in-house HAZWOPER program and/or  persons that may encounter hazardous materials and hazardous work place safety conditions.

• Students will cursorily re-acquaint with current federal, state and local hazardous materials regulations, health issues associated with the use of chemicals, information and interpretation of MSDSs, minimum labeling requirements, the different chemical substances identification systems and the responsibilities of first responders as well as the response action implementation in case of an incident involving Hazardous Substances and/or work place safety incidents.

Course Prerequisite: Proof of successful completion of a 40 Hour Hazpower Course and/or thereafter Hazpower 8 Hour refresher course(s)

Test: Pass successfully each course module with a test score of 70 or higher.
