Objective: Accreditation by passing the mold assessment technician initial course test which will enable a person to apply for a Texas Department of State Health Services Mold Assessment Technician license.

Course Target:  Persons that want employment as mold assessment technician.

• Hazards and Safety Concerns During Assessments
• Moisture and Mold Sources & Building Construction
• Indoor Air Quality related to HVAC Building Systems
• Mold Assessment Reports Cases Studies
• Mold Assessment Techniques & Assessment Interpretations
• Mold Chain of Custody Form, Laboratory Analysis, Other Documentation
• Basic Understanding of Mold Remediation Projects
• Clearance

Course Prerequisite: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate

Test:At the end of the course, a 50 question test will be administered. A minimum score of 70 will be passing.
