Objective:Passing the lead abatement worker refresher course test which will enable a person to apply for a Texas Department of State Health Services lead abatement worker certification.

• Specific information and current laws  related to the removal of lead based paints.
• Role and Responsibilities of the Lead Abatement woker
• Specific information and current technologies that are applicable to the removal of lead based paints.
• History of Lead & Health Effects
• Applicable Federal, State, and Local Regulations
• LBP Hazard Recognition & Control
• LBP Abatement & LBP Hazard Reduction Methods/Restrictions
• Interior Dust Abatement Methods / Cleanup & LBP Hazard Reductions
• Soil &Exterior Dust Abatement Methods Including LBP Hazard Reduction
• Cases Studies
• Preparation for TDSHS state exam

Course Prerequisite:  Current Lead Abatement Worker Accreditation

Test: At the completion of the course, a 20 question test will be administered. A minimum score of 70% will be passing.
