ACSIE –  Contractor/Supervisor

Objective: EPA certification by passing the course test which will enable a person to apply for a Texas Department of State Health Services Asbestos license.

Course Target:  Persons that want employment as an asbestos contractor/supervisor.

All Aspects of Asbestos Abatement Including

• Record Keeping
• Safety Hazards
• Medical Protocols
• Personnel Protective Equipment
• Contract Specifications/ Insurance/ Bonding
• Waste Manifests
• Respiratory Program
• Preparation for TDH state Exam

Course Prerequisite:NONE

Course Content: Understanding of the health effects, physical properties of asbestos/ACM. Familiarization with current federal, state, and local asbestos regulation as they apply to contractor/supervisor of asbestos abatement contracts. Health related problems, medical requirements, air monitoring, and AHERA will be included in the course.

Test: At the completion of the course, a 100 question test will be administered. A minimum of 70% or higher is required to for the course certification.
