Course Prerequisite:Previous year valid certificate proving successful completion of the Texas Air Monitoring Technician Course.
Course Content: Review of the health Effects, physical properties of asbestos / ACM. Updating re-familiarization with current federal, state, and local asbestos regulations as they apply to the Texas air monitoring technicians. Hands-on review training with current calibration equipment, calibration techniques, calibration of actual low and high volume air pumps, calculation and documentation related to air monitoring, safety and protective clothing, respiratory protection and respirators. Review of protocol do‵s / /don‵ts within existing regulations. Other medical related information, air monitoring, laboratory analysis in general, air sampling plans, and AHERA will be reviewed as part of the course.
