TMACIE – Mold Assessment Consultant (Initial)

Objective: Accreditation by passing the mold assessment consultant initial course test which will enable a person to apply for a Texas Department of State Health Services Mold Assessment Consultant license.
Course Target:  Persons that want employment as mold assessment consultant.

Course Prerequisite (as per 295.315) :
Registered sanitarian or architect, professional engineer, certified industrial hygienist, certified safety professional.  Minimum one year experience in allied field or as general contractor in building construction.
Or
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university majoring in natural or physical science, engineering, architecture, building construction or building sciences.  Minimum one year experience in allied field or as general contractor in building construction.
Or
Minimum 60 college credits with a C or better grade in natural sciences, physical sciences, environmental sciences, building sciences or any related field.  Minimum three years experience in allied field or as general contractor in building construction.
Or
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED), minimum five years experience in allied field or as a general contractor in building construction.
Test:At the end of the course, a 100 question test will be administered. A minimum score of 70 will be passing.
