TMATRE – Mold Assessment Technician (Refresher)

Objective: Two year re-accreditation by passing the mold assessment technician refresher course test which will enable a person to apply for a Texas Department of State Health Services Mold Assessment Technician renewal license.

Course Target:  Persons that want employment as mold assessment technician.

• Hazards and Safety Concerns During Assessments
• Moisture and Mold Sources & Building Construction
• Indoor Air Quality related to HVAC Building Systems
• Mold Assessment Reports, Work Plans
• Mold Assessment Techniques, Sampling, Equipment
• Mold Chain of Custody Form, Laboratory Analysis, Other Documentation
• Basic Understanding of Mold Remediation Projects
• Clearance

Course Prerequisite: Current Texas Dept. of State Health Services license, or accreditation expired less than two years.

Test:At the end of the course, a 50 question test will be administered. A minimum score of 70 will be passing.
